record the wide-screen scale root cause and supersede the v2.14.77 theory (v2.14.78)

Documents that the settings flow's default-then-persisted uiScale flips the WideScreenScale composition branch on a tablet-like window, why that tracks the Large preset and spares the cover screen, why the v2.14.77 wm-size control could never have reproduced it, and that on-device confirmation is still outstanding because the phone is locked.
